Bridgerton Books Ranked Best to Worst!
I’m ranking these fun books from Best to Worst. However, I don’t think that any of them are terrible, by any means, I just wish that the stories were done a bit better.
#1 - Romancing Mister Bridgerton - Colin & Penelope
This one secured my #1 spot. First of all one of my favorite tropes is of friends slowly falling for each other. But this one was such a joy because we had the intrigue of Whisteldown being exposed was utterly delightful. Plus Colin’s funny personality & Penelope’s quick wit were fun to read. I’d read this one again, in a heartbeat.
#2 - When He Was Wicked - Francesca & Michael
This one was by far the sexiest read of the series. Francesca isn’t anywhere in the other books so we virtually know nothing about here which was sort of nice in the pecking order of things. I enjoyed how Quinn played with these two and their hearts.
#3 - The Duke & I - Daphne & Simon
Of course, the first one would be one of the better ones. The whole world is fresh and new. The book did vary from the show on the root of the reasons that they were apart but overall Daphne is one of my favorite of the Bridgertons. Simon frustrated me but he got it together in the end.
#4- The Viscount Who Loved Me - Antony & Kate
Ah, Enemies to Lovers. Quinn did good with this one. Kate’s fear of thunderstorms is a bit odd to take in but the author had to find some way to bring out Antony’s sensitive side. These two have great chemistry and I just adored Kate’s spunk.
#5 - An Offer From a Gentleman - Benedict & Sophie
I enjoyed this one. It was a take on cinderella so I knew what was coming. I didn’t like how Benedict kept trying to force Sophie into being his mistress. I did like how Violet came rushing in at the end to help out poor Sophie when she was in a jam.
#6 - It’s in His Kiss - Gareth & Hyacinth
Hyacinth wears pants and it was delightful. I enjoyed how Quinn played with these two and brought in the ever-wonderful Lady Danbury to break the tension of most scenes. Overall this book was a bit boring at times.
#7 - On the Way to the Wedding - Gregory & Hermione
I think I was tired of the series by this last book which is why it has such a low ranking. I did enjoy Hermione’s mind and how she was snarky to Gregory. As far as this couple, I feel like they’re lukewarm at best.
#8 - To Sir Phillip, With Love - Eloise & Phillip
By far the book I was most excited to read and by far the most disappointing one. Eloise was lost in this book. So lost, I didn’t remember the original character that I’d come to love in the earlier novels. I think Quinn could have done so much better with this book and this character. The book does have one of my favorite scenes when all of the brothers come together to give Sir Phillip a talking to.
